Bay Reach

North Palm Beach

Bay Reach luxury apartments on the Intracoastal Waterway with views of Singer Island minutes from the famous Town of Palm Beach were planned and designed with an eye to conversion to condominiums post completion. Subsequent to project completion, Bay Reach was sold to an investor who took advantage of the project's location and design concept and converted it to condominiums making a windfall profit of $50,000 per unit.

Las Olas New River Land Acquisition

Downtown Ft. Lauderdale

Eastland's land acquisition expertise extends to both purchases for their own account as well as acquisitions intended for resale to third party developers at substantial markups.  In the case of RiverWalk Towers, the site was acquired by Eastland for $4 Million zoned and resold within one year for $12 Million receiving the South Florida Builders Association's Land Acquisition of the Year.

Yamato Road Office Building

Boca Raton

This luxury 200,000 SF glass office building with spectacular tropical atrium was developed as an Eastland joint venture and leased up prior to completion. The building was sold fully leased within 12 months of completion yielding profits for the partners and investors.

John Chappelear

John Chappelear brings to the firm 40 years of experience in all aspects of real estate development, finance, sales,  and marketing.  In his early career, John Chappelear was in banking where as a member of the Chase Bank Real Estate Finance Committee oversaw the approval of billions of dollars of real estate loans.  Subsequent to a banking career, he transitioned into the real estate development arena where he successfully led the development teams of some of the largest development companies in the United States including Related Group of Florida, Kettler Inc, and Minto Communities.

Jeff Gordon

Jeffrey B. Gordon has been a licensed attorney since 1973.  He has 40 years of experience as a Principal, Executive Officer, and In-House Counsel in major organizations in diverse industries and market segments with national and international presence.  Jeffrey Gordon began his career as a Federal Tax Attorney and Tax Law Specialist with the Internal Revenue Service.  Following his positions at the IRS, in 1980 he became a commercial real estate broker.  In 1993, he joined a national securities investment house.  His background in Real Estate Law with specialties in Tax Law, securities, infrastructure development, commercial real estate sales, and international business development are his unique assets to our firm.  Over the years, Jeff has acted as real estate law and legal counsel interfacing with industry giants including AT&T re China, China Putian (the Ma Bell of China) Lantai Aviation Company, Dalian Sanke Technology Group, Nano Technology, Fuzhou Economic & Technology Development Zone, Lagqu Economic Zone, and Yantai-Dalian Railway Ferry Project.

Margarita Chappelear

Development

Margarita has been a licensed real estate broker, financial analyst, and property manager since 1981.  Her expertise lies in the acquisition and development of both multi-family apartments, condominium development and sales, and land development.


As the firm's financial analyst, she oversees the financial

underwriting, pre-development activities, and identifying new market opportunities. Margarita also serves as in-house architectural design consultant to assist clients with clubhouse, models, and multi-family common area design communicating ideas in AutoCad, Revit, and Sketch 3-D.

She recently oversaw the sale of a 400-acre land development project in a Maryland suburb of Washington DC and is currently serving as a consultant to a soon be completed condo-hotel-spa luxury

development on Singer Island, Florida.

Jacqueline Chappelear

Marketing Administrator

Upon graduating from Florida State University in 2015, Jacqueline joined the Kettler organization as a management trainee in their multi-family marketing group and brings this experience to the Eastland Properties where she manages all media relations which includes the company's on-line presence and project level marketing plans.
